Status: Pay on arrival
Belfast Dog Show Society was founded in 1880, this makes it one of the oldest societies of its kind in the UK & IRELAND. They are very proud to announce that they have a new sponsor this year, NATURO PET PRODUCTS and are honoured that they have chosen to launch their new dog food at the show, please make a point of visiting their trade stand and their website www.naturopetproducts.com.
Each year the Society runs 2 shows, 1st there is the Easter Tuesday open show and it usually attracts approx 400 dogs and their owners and it has become a regular Easter event for many of the general public. The 2nd show is BELFAST DOG SHOW SOCIETY'S ALL BREED CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW, which runs over 2 days (Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th September), this is the only all breed championship show in N. Ireland and it attracts exhibitors from UK, Ireland & Europe.
Each year the championship show attracts around 2500 dogs and over 100 different breeds of dog. All members of the public are welcome (please leave your own dog at home as only dogs that are entered for the event are allowed at the show). There is lots to do both inside and outside. Why not take some time and watch the agility and obedience rings. There will be stalls selling everything from dog food, beds and bedding, leads, sweets, ornaments, books and clothing for both you and your dog. There is enough going on to make a full days outing.
The dates of the championship show this year are Saturday 25th September & Sunday 26th September and judging starts at 9am. Admission for public is £10.00 per car or on foot adults £3.00 and senior citizens/children £2.00, so come along and enjoy a day of dogs!
Breeds on Saturday are:- Hound, Terrier and Gundog breeds. Sunday are:- Working, Toy, Utility and Pastoral breeds
Best in Show will be judged by Ms E. A. Ingram, who is well known in the dog showing world and has supported and served our club in the past.
