The Belfast Musical Festival was founded in 1908 and its aim is to provide a platform for amateur performance in Music, Speech and Drama.

The Festival plays a very important role in cultivating the Arts in society and provides an opportunity, particularly for young people to achieve their potential.

Light refreshments will be available during the Festival.

There are many music competitions including - Soprano Solo, Girls Vocal Solo, Boys Vocal Solo, Operatic Solo, Violin Solo, String Ensemble, Choral Repertoire, Musical Theatre.

Speech and Drama Competitions include - Verse Speaking from preschool to year 14, Poetry Recital, Irish Poetry, The Yeats Recital, Sonnet Recital, Readings from the Bible, Prepared Prose Reading, Monologue, Shakespeare Monologue and Duologue.
